Porcelain Veneers Can Dramatically Enhance Your Smile

Dental veneers are thin shell-like coverings that go over the front of your teeth to give them a brighter or straighter appearance.

They are beautiful, natural-looking and last a long time if properly cared for.

Dr. Hancock creates custom veneers for his patients, giving them a brighter, straighter smile that best complements their facial qualities and aesthetics.

High-quality materials for natural look and feel

Dr. Hancock uses a high-end lab and some of the best aesthetic materials to create your veneers. The material is dental ceramic porcelain, which provides nearly the identical strength and beauty as natural teeth. Each veneer is permanently bonded to the tooth with a resin or composite adhesive, holding them securely in place. Each veneer is handcrafted and stained to match that natural color of your own teeth.

Our Porcelain Veneers Procedure

During your Complimentary Consultation, you and Dr. Hancock will discuss any concerns you may have about your smile. He will explain all the aspects of the process in getting porcelain veneers. He will then help you pick the design of the shape and shade of your veneers to best match your unique features.

After the initial consultation, and if you are ready to move forward with getting porcelain veneers, Dr. Hancock will take impressions of your teeth and create a wax-up model (upon patient request) during the first visit. Wax-ups are used with the models of your teeth to show you what the final result will look like. You and Dr. Hancock will work as a team and design your cosmetic makeover.

On your second visit, Dr. Hancock will prepare your teeth and place your new veneers. Once the veneers have been placed Dr. Hancock double checks to make sure that your veneers fit perfectly, feel comfortable and look beautiful.

Dental Bonding

Before and after comparison of a chip fixed with dental bonding

Dental bonding is a tooth-colored resin that is applied to the tooth in order to cover up small cosmetic flaws. Bonding can fix small gaps or chips in the teeth, make them look even and improve their color.

Dr. Hancock will apply a tooth-colored composite material to the teeth, then harden it with a special light. Dr. Hancock can then stain and polish the restoration so it matches the appearance of your natural teeth.

Though dental bonding is a fast and affordable alternative to porcelain veneers, it is not as stain resistant and is less durable than veneers.
